Hi, I'm Sundar. I like going by my nickname Sippy.

Work History

Currently, I'm a Doctoral Researcher in the Institute of Geodesy and Geoinformation at the University of Bonn in Germany. Previously, in the United States, I earned my Master's in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, where I also worked briefly in the SWARM Lab. Prior to that, I was doing research at the Robotics Research Center at The International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad. Even prior, I earned my Bachelor's from Anna University at the SSN College of Engineering in Chennai, India (my hometown).

I love (in no specific order):

I love animals (especially cats, dogs, birds), and due to this, I am vegetarian, specifically a lacto-ovo vegetarian (which includes animal products such as dairy, eggs, and honey) [1].

Colophon

Theme: This website is built using the Astro Cactus template. I added two new page types using the default 'Post' component to show my Projects and my Reading Log, and re-purposed the 'Note' component to show my Recent News.

Colors: Catppuccin Latte (light mode), Macchiato (dark mode).

Typography: The title and any code/code snippets are in Fira Mono. The rest of the site is in Atkinson Hyperlegible Next from the Braille Institute, which is my current favorite font.

Purpose: At the moment, I want to use this site to showcase my portfolio and some of my interests (particularly reading). In the future, I want to share blog posts about things I build / think / do.
